Spooky Night

Katelyn's first Halloween was PERFECT!! The weather was absolutely beautiful!! Who would have thought on October 31st, we would be outside without coats enjoying 70 degree weather!! We had parent-teacher conferences at school on Wednesday and Thursday, which meant I was there from 8am-8pm. Exhausting!!! I guess it has it's advantages because I didn't have to work on Friday- HALLOWEEN. I got to spend the entire day with my kids. We took Camden for his IQ screening in the morning and had friends over for lunch at noon. We had a really good time!! Camden and I carved his pumpkin before dad got home, so he would be ready to hit the streets. We managed to get a few pictures of Katelyn in the grass before we carved her pumpkin up. It was a fantastic day!!!!!!!
Camden was a scurvy pirate. Yes, a scurvy pirate not a plain pirate, but a scurvy one- like on the Backyardigans!!! He was fantastic! He walked around saying, "Arr, Ahoy Matey" all night long. Katelyn was a beautiful Monarch butterfly! She did not enjoy her costume so well because her feet were in the inside, but we got a few pictures.

Ahoy Sir Camden, You made a perfect Pirate. I'm sure you scared all the goblins away on Halloween night. And little Monarch Katilyn, you are such a beautiful butterfly. Did you just flutter away collecting those Halloween treats all night. Looks like you two had a wonderful Halloween. Lots of Love. Grandma.
