Christmas Cookies

Every year we have a tradition to get together a few days before Christmas at my parents house to make Christmas cookies together. This year, the boys were making special cookies for everyone. They wanted to sing a song to their Aunt Marti and Uncle Joe, who will be in New Mexico enjoying the nice weather for Christmas this year. We miss you bunches:) Here is a link to the boys special song : http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3501773664629403367&pr=goog-sl

Preschool Christmas Program

I have been so sick with this pregnancy (shocker, since I have not posted anything since I found out). Nothing was going to keep me from seeing my son's first preschool program. I was like a child on Christmas morning all day long. I just kept looking at the clock. He has been practicing at home for weeks. Of coarse, the audience was a little intimidating. Connor and Drayton were a part of the program, they are all dressed up in their winter gear towards the end! They all did so amazing:)

Big News!!!

What's the great news... Camden is going to be a big brother and he is so excited! He can't make up his mind if he wants a brother or sister. He seems to change his mind every other minute. We are not very far along, but those that knew my pregnancy with Camden, know how sick I was and this baby is not cutting me any slack. I am just as sick with this kiddo as I was 4 years ago. We were not planning on telling anyone for a while, but I got caught throwing up in the bathroom today by some second graders and thought I better tell people before the rumors start flying:)
The best news of all... I get to share this experience with my cousin Kristin!! She is due approximately 2 or 3 days before me. Don't get mad Kristin, I knew when you were here, but I wanted you to have the weekend to celebrate and rejoice in your first baby joys. I wanted to tell you so bad, but I just couldn't!
I am extremely jealous because she is not sick at all!! How can some get so lucky and never experience morning sickness I can't even drink a glass of water without throwing up! It's just not fair!!!

Digging For Dinos

Today, we went to Powell Gardens with my parents. Camden just loves spending time with his Grandma and Grandpa. We saw all kinds of beautiful plants, lakes, and of coarse dinosaurs at the Jurassic Gardens Exhibit. We saw BIG dinosaurs and small dinosaurs, but Camden's favorite thing was to dig for the dinosaur bones. Camden was a big fan of reading about the dinosaurs...Did you know that dinosaurs loved to eat apples???? Well, according to Camden they do ; )

Racin' Time

Mark always gets so excited when Nascar comes to Kansas Speedway. Especially this year, when he was going with his favorite Uncle Wes. They have already been to 3 races together, but this one was so much closer to home! What we didn't expect was some good friends of ours to call and say they had an extra ticket for me. I have to say, I wasn't jumping up and down at the opportunity to go to a race, but I was very excited about spending time with my "big sis." We don't get to see each other very often, but we still think alike.. as you can see we are dressed exactly the same by complete coincidence. I have to admit, it was pretty fun. My car was in first place for a while, but then during a caution fell behind. Oh well!! Tailgating was pretty fun too! We very unexpectedly ran into my "former... not old" principal! It was a great time!!

Circus Time

Sunday afternoon, Grandma took us to the circus for the first time. We saw elephants, tigers, cats, dogs, clowns, and motorcycles. Camden wore himself out laughing. He fell asleep and missed the last 15 minutes of the show!

Say Cheese!

It was that time of year again to have pictures taken with all Camden's cousins. Zoe drove to Kansas City for the weekend for the occasion. They all turned out so cute! What a great looking group of kids!!!

Going to the Zoo

Over Labor Day weekend, we thought we would take a little family outing to the Kansas City Zoo. We had a fantastic time. Camden's favorite animals were the scarlet macaws, elephants, and the koala bears. Camden was so exhausted from the long walk through Africa, that he took a 3 hour nap when we returned home.

Go Chiefs

GO CHIEFS!!! "Touchdown, Kansas City!" We have definitely taught our son well:) Marks company had extra tickets to a pre-season Chiefs game. We decided that would be a perfect time to take our little football fan. We had such a great time. We had to leave around 1/2 time to put Camden to bed because he had school the next day.

First Day of School

Camden has been so excited to go to pre-school. He has waited all summer for that first day of school. Last Friday, we had his Meet the Teacher night at school. He proudly walked around telling all the teachers that he was going to go to pre-school. We couldn't get him to leave that night, but school didn't start for another week.

Monday morning, Camden was so excited. It was his first day of pre-school. I couldn't get him to sit still. I tried to snap a few pictures to capture this wonderful moment, but like always, my little guy just doesn't sit still for more than 1 second. I was so glad I snapped these pictures before we left home, because the second we got to school, Camden started screaming and crying. He was begging me to stay. As hard as it was for me to leave him there, I know that it is what is best for him.

When I picked him up, all he could talk about was what a wonderful time he had! I can't believe he is growing up so fast!!!!
